Euronavy is an emergent R&D-based company specialized in Marine and Protective Coatings. Euronavy was founded in 1981 and has been operating on a worldwide basis since 1993.

At Euronavy we develop, produce and market worldwide, a wide range of paints and coatings for the most diverse applications.

What gives us our competitive edge is an advanced anticorrosive modified epoxy technology, for steel protection, putting together a number of distinctive and advantageous features: solvent-free, compatibility with damp surfaces, no dew-point restrictions and edge-retention. Our R&D team has also developed and produced a wide range of innovative and pioneering products for underwater application and for concrete protection & repair.

During the first decade of our existence (the 1980s), the Euronavy operations concentrated primarily on technicalogical development. This was followed by a second phase of internationalization, solution testing and certification, this has continued through the 90’s. Now, at the beginning of the 21st century, you have the opportunity to benefit from our advanced technology.

The Euronavy head offices are located in Setúbal, Portugal. The headquarters house the Production, Research and Development, Technical Support and Sales & Marketing departments and it is from here that our group’s worldwide activities are co-ordinated.
Our worldwide activities are shared between the head office and other partners scattered from Europe to North America, South America and Asia, whereby all international operations are co-ordinated from the head office.

The Vision

Marine Industry users are among the ones that can take more from Euronavy’s solvent-free epoxy technology.

Increased performance standards coupled with ecological and safety concerns in the field of protection against corrosion are leading to constant changes in the options for both coatings and surface preparation methods.

One important development has been the discontinuation of grit blasting as a surface preparation method in favour of hydroblasting.

As far as the coatings are concerned, there is a rapidly growing trend towards the use of solvent-free and edge-retentive products.

And dew-point restrictions are a main concern in the area of application.




The Euronavy vision is based on the belief that the traditional coating technologies are no longer compatible with the latest market and environmental demands. We know we can do better – we can make our anti-corrosive products environmental friendlier and safer without forfeiting any of their protection effectiveness. Off-shore industry is one of the main destinations of Euronavy products	Thanks to Euronavy products, hydroblasting is a preferable option in many cases.	Ballast tanks: an especially harsh environment, where corrosion is successfully controlled using ES301 products from Euronavy.

We want to do this as a differentiation tool. We also see it as our mission to complement the technology with the best in services in order to provide the best solutions. Of course, it is our policy to use only the best in human resources to achieve these goals.

Positioning

We have chosen the toughest path possible to achieve our mission, in that we have targeted the most demanding areas of application (the oil, marine and offshore industries) as a strategy for entering the market. We aim to supply the most sophisticated customers and to develop tailor-made solutions for each challenge presented to us. That is why customers such as US Navy or Petrobras rely on us. For them we have gone to great lengths to develop unique and individual solutions. These solutions have been tested and compared with conventional ones in order to achieve proven products that are regarded as references in meeting the new demands in protective coating.
